Offering essential respite in spacious surrounds, this city-based resort is an elegant haven exuding an air of sophisticated calm, and provides guests with the ultimate in comfort, as well as the ideal base from which to experience the city's wealth of historical, cultural and contemporary attractions.
Located in the heart of New Delhi, just south of the Delhi Golf Course and adjacent to the medieval Nizamuddin complex lies this beautiful city-based resort. From its prime location where the modern and historic are juxtaposed in perfect harmony, it is possible to enjoy many of the cultural wonders that New Delhi has to offer from the spectacular architecture of the Mughal Era to the grand monuments of the British Raj.
The design of the resort is contemporary, complemented with Indian touches such as hand-made rugs and jaali screens. Spacious suites afford guests the opportunity to relax in enveloping comfort, while the heady aroma of fresh flowers throughout the resort brings nature home to this metropolitan haven.
ROOMS
Rooms and suites at Aman New Delhi are designed with a contemporary flair, drawing their aesthetic references from local materials as well as the architecture and design of the region. Khareda stone quarried in northern India has been chosen for all the floors and is complemented by handmade rugs. Rich dark timber panels are accentuated by discrete lighting, while traditional jaali screens adorn building terraces and exteriors, lending an aura of mystery, as they have done, for so many buildings over many centuries.
Aman rooms
The 31 Aman Rooms and eight Aman Suites are housed in a gracious nine-storey structure. Each of the 31 Aman and Aman Deluxe Rooms opens onto a combined bedroom and living area that is furnished with a king-size bed, daybed, reading chairs, table, writing desk and bar area. Sliding screens separate a dressing area and the bathroom facilities, which include twin vanities, a shower, bathtub and separate toilet. Outside on the room’s terrace, a large daybed sits invitingly on the edge of a private plunge pool which measures 15 square metres. The 11 Aman Deluxe Rooms are located on the top three floors, offering higher views of the city.
Aman suites
The eight two-bedroom Aman Suites differ from the Aman Rooms with the addition of a central foyer area, an extra bedroom and a combined living and dining area.
Lodhi suites
The Lodhi Suites are housed in a five-floor structure facing the hotel pool, central garden and courtyard. There are in total 14 one/two-bedroom Lodhi Suites. All Lodhi Suites have a spacious living room with rich wooden panelling. The dining and lounge setting comfortably accommodate six people. Adjacent to the dining area is a pantry from which the butler provides service to the suite.
Lodhi pool suites
There are seven one/two-bedroom Lodhi Pool Suites and seven three-bedroom Lodhi Pool Suites. In the one and two-bedroom Lodhi Pool Suites, the external ground floor terrace opens onto a small private garden featuring a daybed and a 32 square-metre private pool. The three bedroom Lodhi Pool Suites offer a double-height terrace and private pool with a guest bedroom conveniently located off the entry lobby. The upper level is accessed via stairs and accommodates the master bedroom and a third guest bedroom.
